is it ok for teenagers to take Alpha Brain on occasion?

You have praised the focus and neuro-protective effects of nicotine but cautioned it is only for fully mature brains and NOT for developing brains. Is it ok for teenagers to take something like Onnit Alpha Brain on occassion? (Alpha GPC, L-tyrosine, Phosphatidylserine)

Sound waves

Hi Professor Huberman, and THANK YOU! You have been providing everything that I have been looking for these last many years when it comes to understanding my body, diet, exercise and overall health and wellbeing from a grounded and scientific perspective and you do it in such a way that I can understand and, most importantly, implement. And the fact and you have such a healthy respect for animals and love for dogs (please give my hellos to Costello) just makes me hooked even more. I only wish I had more time in the day. I now look forward to traffic. 🤣. Thank you! My Question is based upon the impact that sound waves have on us given that sound travels effectively through our entire body, not just our ears. Sound waves can create patterns in water and sand. High frequency sound waves have even been shown to aid in the combat of cancer at the University of Michigan. And Music is the ONLY thing we agree on. (Not, of course speaking in terms of the genre although I too am a fan of The Ramon’s and The Clash). I’m speaking more in terms of how every single one of us knows if something is OUT of tune. Without any musical background at all. Even children know it. We have some internal sense. We all know which tones are scary and which ones are pleasing. We all know (there is argument that this is learned but I disagree) what sounds consonant and what sounds dissonant. I believe this is based upon spacing. While I have done some research into this I would love your take on it. I would love to know from a scientific standpoint how this spacing works within us. There is not a whole lot we can agree upon but this really seems like one thing we all do. But again I would love to see the argument against this theory (so I can best know how to combat it😆). Thank you again for everything you do. Any opportunity I have to donate to you, I take. I don’t ever want you to stop. Although I do think taking some time off for yourself is necessary. I know many of us are now addicted and reliant on your weekly podcasts, please do remember to put your oxygen mask on yourself first. With much admiration, respect and gratitude, Sandy

Adrenal Insufficiency

Routine bloodwork has shown elevated levels of ACTH (~140 pg/mL) with lower-than-expected Cortisol test results (.23 mcg/dL upon waking and .03mcg/dL at noon, afternoon and evening samples). Could diet/intermittent fasting, daily cold plunges, sauna use or daily exercise contribute to high ACTH or LOW cortisol levels.

Chat GPT - can it make our brain too lazy?

Regarding the latest dopamine episode - Feedback Cues & Reward Contingent Learning. If our brain is a prediction machine, and we overuse AI(for example ChatGPT), can it make us too much dependent on it and torpedo our cognitive abilities in the future? Does this mean that we will not have enough dopamine to work on something ourselves if we will have a tool to make it for us(for example writing an essay, etc)?

How to eat? Speed of eating and consuming drinks besides a meal.

How does the speed of eating affect nutrient absorption and satiety? And also, can coffee/yerba mate, or something containing caffeine being drunk next to a meal reduce the nutrient intake of its meal?
