There are eye tracking glasses today capable of taking precise (and sometimes also accurate with calibration) measurements of a wearer's pupil diameter, gaze direction, and blink rate. What do you envision as the best early applications to leverage these devices for either general health (think: ubiquitous fitness trackers but for cognitive load) or for particular applications (eg monitoring a particular disease)?
Can you discuss how weight lifting can increase testosterone. Can you additionally discuss how working out different muscles groups affects testosterone? For example, I feel (although I do not have blood work to confirm this) that my testosterone increases most after working out my leg muscles.
I love your guest episodes with Dr Galpin. He is so knowledgeable and thorough. I’m a 62 YO woman who has only started exercising seriously in the last 5 years. I have been listening to the episodes but it’s so technical and goes down so many side roads, I have trouble distilling and understanding the information. You use the word hypertrophy a million times and I get it, you are scientists, but most of the listeners are not. Most of us are not hard core athletes either. I love that you do all these protocols and I don’t know how you have time to do your full time job as well as podcasts, prep for podcasts, answer questions and all the health systems you do each day. Anyway, my request is that you discuss topics in plain language and lay out processes for us beginners and such. Thanks for all you do. It is truly remarkable and amazing. Wishing all the best in life to you and your team!!
More of an idea versus a question. At some point, it could be really interesting to formulate some version of a roundtable discussion with listeners of your podcast to share what we've learned or how your format has helped us make informed decisions on many aspects of our life. The perspective gained my the Huberman team and the listeners, could be interesting to share. Food for thought
