Raynaud syndrome causes your hands and feet to feel really cold and turn into white. It’s like when you see a dead person’s limbs in the movies. This happens when you feel cold, but you don’t need to feel too cold, just a little chilly. It seems some doctors ran some experiments to figure out how to improve this condition, such as cold exposure while keeping the hands warm (the Hamlet method) as described here: https://www.raynauds.org/2019/09/26/classical-conditioning-raynauds-therapy/ I’d like to know what can be the science behind this, if there is more evidence in this area and I also wonder whether breath work can improve this body behavior by generating more small vessels in the hands. Also, Wim Hof mentions that this can be improved by training your hand to resist cold temperatures gradually, which seems to be the opposite to the method proposed by Hamlet. Could this be possible?
