Hard Ketones

I came across a company called "KetoneAid" that sells R1,3 Butanediol (ethanol-free) alcohol by Hard Ketones. I gave up drinking after listening to your "alcohol and your health" podcast and thought this sounded interesting; but probably too good to be true. What are your thoughts of something like this as an alternative to ethanol alcohol?

Toothpaste?

Has there been any definitive research done on the hormonal effects for men regarding toothpaste ingredients? For example: phthalates, fluoride, tea tree oil, spearmint oil, peppermint oil. These ingredients are found in many “healthy” or popular toothpastes and have never found a solid answer on their effect on testosterone levels in men.

Oral probiotics

There's quite a few supplement brands that sell oral probiotics (varying from lozenges to powder that needs to be mixed with water and sweeshed around the mouth for +- 10 min). The K2 strain is touted as scientifically supported for a better oral microbiome. Are these supplements recommended, harmful or neutral?

Sunglasses at night instead of blue blockers (to bring down the lux across the spectrum)?

In your podcast with Samer Hattar, Dr. Hattar suggested reducing overall light exposure would be much more beneficial than blue blockers, since it is about more than just one frequency (among other reasons). I get that ideally one would reduce light at the source but would sunglasses be effective in this regard? This assumes I could still see to find my way around safely and don't alarm those around me about why I am wearing sun glasses at night.

Low testosterone and hot flashes and reduced sleep.

Hello, Sorry it might not be a podcast specific question, but it’s on the topic that was discussed on multiple occasions. I’ve experienced reduced sleep quality, difficulty keeping body fat down, common hot flashes and reduced libido. My bloodwork from 8/22 shows: Sex Hormone Bind Glob nmol/L - 26 Testosterone ng/dl - 476 Free Testosterone nmol/L - 0.388 However my symptoms have worsened lately. Are these results optimal for my age and do you think I should start using Testosterone patches or gel.
