USEFULNESS OF SPECT SCANNING FOR DIAGNOSING AND TREATING MENTAL HEALTH STRUGGLES

What are your thoughts on its usefulness? When might you consider it, if at all?

Genetics of Frontotemporal Dementia and ADHD

My mother died of Frontotemporal Dementia 16 years ago. Also, we have a great deal of ADHD in our family. I'm wondering if these conditions are genetically related? What should I be doing as someone approaching 50 who is terrified of being diagnosed with dementia like my mom had? I was so sorry to hear about Bruce Willis's diagnosis with the disease, but I am hopeful that it might help bring more attention and research to this version of dementia.

Post-exercise headaches

I've been active all of my life and frequently get headaches after intense exercise, specifically mountain biking, worse in hot weather. I've tried making sure I prehydrate, have taken electrolytes beforehand, tried a pre-workout snack vs empty stomach, tried icing, etc. I'd love to hear more about what causes these and ways to avoid them as I don't want to quit being active in the summer. Thank you so much for all of the great information you're putting out there. I'm a nurse practitioner and have found it very helpful in my practice.

57 year old with mild cognitive impairment - most likely LBD and BvFTP

I am a 57 year old divorced father of 2 diagnosed with mild cognitive impairment (MCI). Even though thaough the "medical diagnosis" is MCI, my condition is 98% symptom matching with LBD and BvFTPD and have social workers and nurse practitioners that concur. I am trying to find a research project that will provide a better diagnosis. The news of Bruce Willis is so sad and I can completely relate. What are your thoughts on GABA, nicotine (vaping), Adderall, CDB and THC in supporting cognitive function.

Guest for podcast

This is not a question, perhaps just a suggestion. I watched your colleague's TED talk, Sergiu Pasca, and it would be interesting if you could have him on your podcast to parallel your work and studies in actual human brains with his work and studies of the human brain but in a dish. https://www.pascalab.org/videos--podcasts.html
