What does the future hold for Central Nervous System disorders like Tourette syndrome?

Q: What does the future hold for Central Nervous System disorders like Tourette syndrome? Do you feel that TS and related CNS disorders can one day be treated/reversed with gene therapy, or in the case of TS, only progress as far as (one day) being able to manage with D1 receptor antagonists? To be transparent, I am healthy, active 56 yo male with mild Tourettes, and I was recently encouraged by the report of a Phase 2b clinical trial: https://emalexbiosciences.com/news/emalex-biosciences-publishes-phase-2b-results-for-tourette-syndrome-candidate-in-pediatrics/ I do believe TS includes comorbidities that may play into a lot of behavioral issues that are not necessarily linked or understood. I have genuine concern for the many adults and especially children living with this very bizarre and sometimes humiliating disorder. Thank you for your knowledge and insight! -Al

This comes from the context of having to do lots of tiny decisions as a photographer, for example, sorting through photos in the editing process.
