Q: What does the future hold for Central Nervous System disorders like Tourette syndrome? Do you feel that TS and related CNS disorders can one day be treated/reversed with gene therapy, or in the case of TS, only progress as far as (one day) being able to manage with D1 receptor antagonists? To be transparent, I am healthy, active 56 yo male with mild Tourettes, and I was recently encouraged by the report of a Phase 2b clinical trial: https://emalexbiosciences.com/news/emalex-biosciences-publishes-phase-2b-results-for-tourette-syndrome-candidate-in-pediatrics/ I do believe TS includes comorbidities that may play into a lot of behavioral issues that are not necessarily linked or understood. I have genuine concern for the many adults and especially children living with this very bizarre and sometimes humiliating disorder. Thank you for your knowledge and insight! -Al
What are some ways of recovering/resetting from decision fatigue? Would NSDR help? Both the nervous system and brain seem to be affected by decision fatigue. This comes from the context of having to do lots of tiny decisions as a photographer, for example, sorting through photos in the editing process.
Hi Andrew! I’d love to hear your unpacking of genetic / lifestyle / environmental causes of main types of dementia. Also, what tools may be available to slow its progress or perhaps even avoid completely. Given this is a large topic, Is there a chance we can look forward to some dedicated episode(s) on dementia and dementia prevention in the future?
