This is the best way for me to describe it... When laying down to go to sleep, my nasal passages clog up and my mind will not let go of it. It feels like I am not getting enough air or enough air where the regulator in my nose approves..whatever the approver is.... To deal with this over the past 8 years, I use half a xanax (sometimes a full .05mg) to calm my mind with breathing exercises and humming. I also use Vicks, nasal decongestant to unclog my nose...(does't work for very long). I have been an athlete my whole life. I am mostly a plant based eater, fish on occasion. I am currently training for another marathon in October. I do ice baths, sauna, weight training, etc...
Which form of folic acid should be taken as a prenatal supplement, in particular for people with poorly performing variants of the MTHFR gene? The CDC says that it doesn't matter and everyone should just take folic acid. But other sources suggest that 5-methyl folate is far better absorbed, especially for low-performing MTHFR variants.
