My father (81, mentally and physically fit) suffered a heart attack and had to be revived. A week after the event we can say, that supposedly due to the lack of oxygen his cognitive abilites are currently? impaired. Remembering information and finding words is a problem, but is very slowly improving. While taking into account that we need patience, I would be greatly interested in methods and techniques for our family to stimulate my dad the most effective way possible. I'm trying to make up methods on my own, but any guidance will be appreciated. Best regards from Frankfurt, Germany. PS: All tests for brain damage came out inconspicuous, the doctors are rather optimistic.
I've heard you talk about walnuts, and brazil nuts, and I've researched other nuts and their massive health benefits. I have two questions on this: 1) Can you provide a guideline on adding nuts to your diet (i.e. what mix?) 2) Guidance one what to look for or avoid? (e.g. should I get raw or roasted? salted or unsalted? does organic matter? country of origin for certain nuts? etc)
