When you happen to wake up in the middle of the night, do you do NSDR listening to the protocol or rather recalling the protocol in your mind to avoid bright light exposure? Does opening YouTube to play NSDR protocol not disrupt melatonin-cortisol circuits? I’ve implemented all of your protocols and supplementation but I still tend to wake up couple of time during the night, what’s strange the first waking occur yet after 1-2h after falling asleep. By the way, does inositol work better than myo-inositol for people working out fasted early in the morning in therms of glycogen storage?
Hello Dr. Huberman, I'm a huge fan of you and your work. I have a long history of training/coaching people in mindfulness, stress resilience, performance. I am increasingly obsessed by various benefits (brain, mind, body) of different breathing techniques/practices. I engage in nasal breathing unless doing very intense exercise (tape mouth at night) and I am curious about the reason for recommending one exhale through the mouth for any reasons except cooling down our body. It is recommended (or was studied) when engaging in physiologic signing (according to your study). Why is that? Why not recommend (study) nasal exhalation?
I live in Alaska, in the winter the sun does not rise until after 10 where I live, even later for those north of me. Do you have any advice for us regarding viewing morning sunlight, since it is not available for us for months? Do artificial lights actually help (I do not feel they do), if so, which specific ones? Does viewing sunrise after 10am actually help?
