Steam room vs. Sauna

I have reviewed the sessions about deliberate heat exposure. you talk about dry saunas and steam saunas with temperature ranges from 190 to 200 degrees intiially. What about steam rooms? In my experience these are different than saunas, have much higher humidity, and can be used at temperatures more like 115 to 122 degrees. Can these type of steam rooms be used for deliberate heat exposure like saunas?

ACES studies breakdown?

I would like to hear what you think about the ongoing long term studies on ACES and their affects on health. Do you think abuse prevention is the next step in treating mental health ?

Kratom and Alcoholism

I hope you will address the alcoholic brain on Kratom. My partner struggled with alcohol addiction for many years. He has chronic pain from a back injury. He has never been "attracted" to opiates, just alcohol. Family tradition started him on beer at age twelve. With Kratom he works out at the gym, rides his bike over a mile to a 10 hour job in the heat working on cars. He is a wonderful man with a delightful personality. Just an example of many you will hear I imagine. The fact that K is legal and easily and cheaply attainable is something our society is really going to have to wrestle with as you know. But, when you consider the absolute carnage that results from alcohol abuse, in my opinion Kratom may actually be the lesser of a very great evil. I'm a therapist and I admit to using a lot! of your information. Love your work. Wendy

Spine Health

I was recently diagnosed with a bulging disc in my cervical spine that causes me pain in my shoulder and arm. As an avid Huberman Lab listener, it made me think it would be great to do an episode about spinal health—preventing issues, treatment of common problems, long-term prognoses, how the spine/brain/nervous system interact and what they do in our body, the latest research in spinal modalities, etc. I’d guess back pain is a common complaint, especially with how much time we all spend working at computers and staring at phones. Thank you!
