Sleep is the foundation of our mental and physical health and performance in all endeavors, no doubt. For those of us who struggle to get a full night's sleep without OTC sleep aids, does it make more sense to get a good night's sleep with sleep aids or suffer through insufficient and/or disrupted sleep? I have personal interest in the long-term use of doxylamine succinate, which I find super helpful in small doses, but it would be cool to learn about OTC sleep aids more broadly. What are the potential risks of long-term use? How does the risk-benefit profile compare to the effects of poor sleep? (I feel like I should add that I spoke to my physician about this, who shrugged and said it was probably fine so long as I took precautions to avoid developing physiological tolerance.) It would be awesome if you could do a deeper dive into health trade-offs associated OTC sleep meds.
Few years ago my goal was to lose weight, i lost all my fat and i was very happy and fit, but after sometime i lost interest in everything and gained all those weight back, it's just an example. Now my question to you is that how can i continue my hustle after achieving a goal? And this is not just for weight loss this is about everything in my life, i find somthing interesting i starts to do that and sometimes i do achieve some of those goals but after some time i lost interest, and in few days again in the same spot from where i started. Because of this i feel depressed and frustrated... please help me...
What is your step by step approach to research every episode and find a compelling story? (e.g. pubmed search, asking colleagues, extra resources? etc.) And how do you extract tool/protocols out of it? That would be so exciting!! Thanks a lot!
I’ve just been through most of your series with Galpin and am deeply impressed - I’ve been looking for 20 years to find such frank, curiosity driven, high brow but simply explained knowledge on science backed subjects. The last time I saw this was on a show called the daily planet on the discovery channel - which I sadly miss to this day. Thank you for your work and I’ll now listen to all your podcasts. I simply would ask if you have thought of doing a podcast on CrossFit - hopefully tailoring Galpins thoughts to the CrossFit form of exercise. However, I would very much appreciate your thoughts on CrossFit - I’m considering going back to this but am at odds. Yea, nay, or meh ad you say!? Thanks again
