In the Lex Friedman-podcast ep. 393 Andrew Huberman talks a little bit about prayer - less in the form of a religious practice but what the, lets say „prayer mindset“ could also mean for non-religious people. I found that approach quite interesting - not as a contradiction but more as an extension to the spiritual/religious knowledge pf various prayer schools. What I would find interesting is to learn more about the neuroscience behind praying. I know currently only about one paper in this subject (doi:10.3390/ijerph17249567). It would be interesting to know what kind of research was done regarding various prayer forms (oral prayer, scriptural prayer, „mantra-like“ prayer as known from Hesychiasm or the rosary, attending a liturgy, plainchant… sorry for only giving christian examples, its simply that I do not know that much about other traditions).
