On days when I exercise strenuously (run, bike) I have difficultly sleeping (falling asleep, waking multiple times, and waking early) even if I work out prior to noon. Why is this? I once heard that our body can consume amino acids such as adenosine more after a difficult workout but I have no idea if this is really the case. What can I do to get better sleep on days that I work out strenuously?
