Heat exposure vs. exercise

Logo for YouTube YouTube It seems that a lot of benefits of heat exposure are similar to those of exercise. Could you make a comparison between heat exposure and exercise, and how they differ in terms of the benefits they provide? And when you have to choose between the two because of time constraints, whether it is more beneficial to exercise for 1 hour or do heat exposure for 1 hour?

How should yoga fit into a fitness routine?

Firstly, thank you for all of the fitness focused podcast episodes! They've been a huge help in refining and adding to my regular workout plans. I've been a big fan of yoga for many years, and usually try to fit in at least two to three sessions a week because I find it helps my mental health, mobility, and functional movement/strength. While many of the episodes on fitness focus on the different types of cardio and resistance training, is there a place and/ or a benefit to including yoga sessions in a fitness routine? Or pilates? Wondering if it's beneficial enough to take the place of a weight training or cardio session, or if it should be considered an add-on as time allows. Also acknowledging there are many different types of yoga, some more focused on deep stretching vs cardio or strength building. Thank you!

Snacking in the middle of the night

How do I change an old habit (30 years plus) of waking up in the middle of the night, once or twice to eat a scoop of peanut butter, chug some milk, ice cream or chips…maybe even a hotdog? I’m figuring it’s not good for my recovery and body’s reset. Looking forward to learning the what the science doc has to say about this. Thank you! C

Hey Dr. Huberman! THANKS for amazing podcast! You and your team are changing lives for better! Amazing work. Question about wrist health: too much publications and typing academic work, plus texting and periodically;) video gaming... stress on the wrists. Could you please discuss how to promote wrist health, reduce finger trigger, numbness during sleep and promote circulation in fingers. Also, activities in cold weather with poor circulation wrists and activities such as climbing. Please include protocols, they are so amazing!! Thanks so much!!

Fear

Hey Dr. Huberman!! Thanks for your wonderful work! Could you please tell more about fear, especially how to relax from fear episodes? Should we expose ourselves to our fears more? For example, as a climber, I always get scared of falling randomly and have hard time getting back to climbing the route. How long the fear feeling stays in the system? How to shake it off while climbing big routes? Any protocols additional to taking wider view Specific breathing? Many thanks!
