I have a personal question. Do you have any information about Tourette syndrome? If my son is 10 years now and I see the sign’s coming. Any tools to prevent it? Is it good or not to talk about it often? Is there something to do if I see it starting in specific situations , To interfere gently? I asked him if it’s ok that I comment when I see repetitive movements, he said ok . Thank you for your generosity
Andrew, I'm a newbie here and am loving your podcast--I'm going through your back catalog even as I type this! I would love to hear your thoughts on a way of learning a new language based on the Input Hypothesis, and most specifically on Comprehensible Input: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Input_hypothesis The idea is that, given enough content in the target language that is engaging to the learner *and* at an appropriate level of complexity, a person can learn the language to a quite high degree of fluency. Here's an example of a site based on Comprehensible Input for the purpose of learning Spanish: https://www.dreamingspanish.com/ Thanks for your time, and keep doing what you're doing--being awesome!
VNS has become popular in Psychology re: its usefulness for anxiety, depression and epilepsy. Because of its role in the endocrine/immune system and PNS, I'm curious if there's been recent research done as it relates to mental health, trauma recovery and immune function.
