I've commented before that I would love more Sara Gottlieb conversations and fewer brochats. ;-) And I'm amk-ing a note to see if you'd like to support a girls skateboarding initiative in Santa Fe. 4KINSHIP hosts the The Modern Matriarch Skate Jam a groundbreaking event made possible by Diné Skate Garden Project. This event is the very first all-women skate competition at the Two Grey Hills Skate Park on the Navajo Nation. There's a fundraiser - and perhaps its a cause you'd like to support? https://www.pledge.to/orenda-skate?fbclid=IwAR1vICq5JrVvjMZ1e8NsPQZ_jMTUXYe2_jNOfZQ_9p1h3IvZPhBntbgQQHU
Hey Andrew! Love the show, but there has been lots of criticism of the lack of transparency on the exact dollar figures that have gone towards scientific research. Will you release a yearly financial statement about how much direct funding to the research has come from our premium subscription to silence one of the major criticisms of the show?
Many people (including me) come to your podcast to get unbiased and science based tools and recommendations for how to be healthy. When you advertise products such as supplements and work directly for the companies as a science advisor, how can your listeners trust that you remain unbiased, when a massive financial incentive would push you towards being friendly with these companies, many of which who can’t point to high quality peer reviewed studies to prove their effectiveness (like AG1)? I understand the ads are sort of a separate thing from the content of the show, but can you not recognize how many people would have skepticism about you remaining neutral, in the same way people are skeptical of major news channels on their coverage of companies who provide a massive source of their funding for example?
On your podcast with Dr. Jeffrey Goldberg your discussion mentioned supplementing with B3 in order to mitigate glaucoma. See https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ltcLEM-5HU&t=10419s I did some followup reading and see trials have used Niacinamide or Niacin. Do you think the scientific evidence is stronger for either of these or perhaps precursors like NR or NMN? The literature I have researched does not mention the use of TMG with high dose B3. Isn't it outright dangerous taking several grams of Niacinamide without methylation support? Thanks for your attention.
