Listened to most of your podcasts this summer as I was training to walk around Prince Edward Island. The podcast on light motivated me to get a red light, eye podcast got me to look out in the horizon while walking (if sun was not too bright), and yes get up and look at the sun (or sky) in the morning. Eye exam this year in September, doctor said... boy, you could not do that with your right eye last year. In relation to distance vision for that eye. I only began these steps in July, red light probably 3 x week for 3 minutes, walking was 4-5 x week anywhere from 1-4 hours. (history - 2 eye surgeries age 3 and 7 due to muscle correction for crossed eyes - eye glasses for reading age 45 on ) Thank you Karen Dooley - Eugene, Oregon
HI! Are there any behavior changes/ supplements that reduce insuline insensitivity/resistance? (Giving that one person is eating a balanced diet with vegetables, lean meat, moderate amount of fat)? (Woman, not diagnosed with PCOS- they would like to avoid the medication if possible). Thank you, Nadina
Hey Andrew and team!! I love your content. Here's the deal: I've listed to enough of your podcasts and watched enough of your videos to trust you and want to put what you've learned into practice. Problem: It takes a tremendous amount of time to parse a podcast or video and translate into a one-page-ish daily/weekly action plan, whether it's workout, diet, supplement regimen, etc. Solution: Please please please, work on a series of artifacts to distill your findings into easy to consume/follow daily/weekly/monthly plans. I would be willing to pay even more for a service such as this and it would make it so much easier to put what you've learned into practice. Fwiw, I imagine your mission is something along the lines of helping as many people as possible. Making it as easy as possible to put your learnings into practice will maximize your impact on the world. Some ideas: Hire a visual designer to help craft a beautiful, easy to consume and utilize visualizations of: - Andrew's weekly fitness/diet/supplement/sleep protocol. - Supplement regimens for different life needs/goals. - Diet regimens for different life needs/goals. ...I imagine just about every podcast could be distilled into a beautiful, easy to consume and utilize artifact... so this could be something you create and "sell" as part of a premium subscription ongoing. Thanks for your consideration! Cheers, Nick
Over the past several years I have obtained several concussions with the most previous one causing some lasting effects. My question is, is if there is any way to increase the force necessary to receive a concussion? Because after each concussion it has become significantly easier to obtain them. I was looking into stem cells therapy, fasting to create stem cells, and hbot therapy, but I can’t find an answer if rebuilding these connections is going to strengthen your brain against concussion or not.
I am your fan since the beginning of the show and I LOVE to be learning about neuroscience from you. My life has been enriched in many ways thanks to your podcasts. I have read a book by Victoria L Dunckley MD: "Reset Your Child's Brain" that completely transformed my life. I have a 10-year old daughter who had all the Electronic Screen Syndrome symptoms. After we got rid of all the screens my daughter literally gained a new life. The whole process took over 2 months of reset & conversations with her, dealing with all the emotions and healing her brain. Now she is getting a good night's sleep, she is into all real life activities and sports and even she started to enjoy subjects she hated earlier on like history. On the other hand, I feel devastated when I see how kids and teens are addicted to games and tik toks these days and how she can't connect with them. She has some screen-free friends and the way they interact is natural, unlike with screen-kiddos. After I have read the book by dr Dunckley and dove into scientific literature that she cites on how screens impact kids' brains, I literally can't stop thinking about it and would LOVE to hear your take on this. I found data on how kids' brains are literally the same as the brains of drug and alcohol addicts. I would GREATLY appreciate your podcast on this. I believe I am not the only one :) Again, thank you dr Huberman for all that you do for the world! :)
