How does nicotine affect sleep? Does it matter what time of day you take it? I would assume since it is a stimulant, you would not want to take it before or close to bedtime. I have also read that cigarette smokers in general have worse sleep than non-smokers - does this apply to all forms of nicotine consumption (gum, patches, spray, etc)? Does it cause sleep disruptions no matter what time of day you take it?
