I have an infrared sauna that I use 4+ days a week. It only goes up to 150 degrees although the heat penetrates deeper. Is this temperature high enough to obtain the benefits of heat stress exposure? Thank you for the work you're doing. It is personally and professionally very helpful. I work as the Health and Wellness Coordinator for the Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office and so much of what you discuss is relevant and beneficial to our employees. Keep up the great work! Danielle
63yo M Retired Officer(from Army) Recovery is my limiting factor for returning to Fitness both Aerobic and Strengthwise. I monitor my HRV for bout readiness. How to ramp up and maintain without injury/illness set backs. Been there Done that too many times. Thank You Bill
I'd love love love to get a deep dive into how we can improve our vocal quality for speech. We all use our voice so much, for lectures, zoom meetings, and all forms of interpersonal communications. Setting content aside, some voices sound smooth and lovely, while others are scratchy, raspy, or too soft to hear. How do our vocal chords even work?! Can we use heat, exercises, or anything else to improve the vocal quality of our speech, so others can hear, understand, and feel receptive to our communications? Thank you for considering this weird question!
I have a habit of moving my feet when I'm about to fall asleep, and when I do sleep, my partner says I almost immediately start to clench my jaw. I am wondering if they can be related. I listened to the podcast episode about sleep with Dr. Gina Poe, and I understand they might both be related to locus coeruleus and norepinephrine activity in the brain. Can they also be related to ADD/ADHD? Clenching is a big problem for me since it causes me to wake up with headaches, and therefore, I'm constantly looking for ways to better understand it, and if possible, break free from it completely. Thank you for all you're doing!
