Thank you for the episode with Dr Cal Newport. I think he is brave and inspirational - willing to talk and write about the implications of certain technology and social media, especially working in the field of computer science. I found it ironic that at the end of the episode you advertise how you are on all social media channels and additional content is posted there…Have you ever thought about taking a 30-day break from social media? I wonder how that might change your way of working and communicating…

Blackout shades and when to raise and light through window

My son and I have argues about when to raise his black out shades because he says only direct sunlight helps you wake. Does light through the window also help your circadian rhythm and waking up? If yes, If he needs to be out of be by 7:40 AM what time do you suggest raising shades? On vacation what is the latest you would open shades? He will listen to you much more than mother.

Sunlight has a negative effect on emotions

Can you tell me why sunlight makes me depressed? With summer coming I am sad. I have the opposite of the typical seasonal depression. I wish it could be stormy or cloudy forever. The sun makes me tired and sad. I want to be normal!
