My friend has Sjogren’s disease (autoimmune) and she has a lot of pain when living in New York City - mostly pain in her legs, but also in her full body. It feels like she can’t move her legs, they are so heavy. When the pain is bad, she also gets fatigue and brain fog. She tries to exercise in nyc, but usually it causes so much pain that she can’t. Running one mile will cause severe pain in her legs for a week. In the winter, she snowboards every day in the Rockies and alps - over 60 days a year. You would think it would cause more pain, but apparently when she is doing this, the pain disappears. She is a good snowboarder, so it is easy for her. Do you think it’s related to the snowboarding, activating the balance system, the environment or altitude, or do you think something else contributes?
