I have used one for about 5 years. I started out at 1.8 mph and it took a couple of days to get used to walking and typing at the same time. Eventually I got up to 3.3 mph while working. The most miles I ever walked while working was 33 miles in a day and 171 miles in a week. Now I use a manual treadmill desk that is at a 13% incline. My distance has gone down but the intensity has gone up. And the whole set up only cost $150. Researchers at Stanford found that creativity increased by 60% when walking. Oppezzo, M., & Schwartz, D. L. (2014). Give your ideas some legs: The positive effect of walking on creative thinking. Journal of Experimental Psychology: Learning, Memory, and Cognition, 40(4), 1142–1152. Could you do an entire episode on all the benefits from using a walking treadmill desk to help motivate more people to join those of us that are experiencing the positive difference in our mental and physical health.
Hola, hace tiempo que practico meditación en silencio sin embargo los centros que conozco, aunque trabajan por donación, implican ciertas creencias, que, en mi opinión podrían simplificarse. Conoces algún espacio de retiros largos con técnicas laicas ? Gracias Andrew, saludos. Soleil Marisol Rangel Gutiérrez
