Hello Andrew. I am a soldiers who has been teaching himself developmental cognitive neuroscience and I am currently on vision. I had a question about the visual orientation. The pathway that goes to the superior colliculus that as I understand is more associated with the temporal side of your vision, what is the complexity of visual information that can stimulate saccades or a head move. For example could you notice a face without the need for the LGN to cortex pathway? Or is this pathway restricted to more basic stimuli like light or motion? Furthermore how could this work with someone with cortical blindness and still had this form of blindsight. Could they theoretically see a familiar face via the superior colliculus pathway but not be able to actually know what they’re seeing, if that long winded question makes sense? This could explain how stevie wonder recognised Shaq in the elevator 😂
Hi Andrew, I have been listening to the podcast for few years and put the protocols into practice. May I ask how I can improve my social exhaustion threshold and recover from social burnout faster when social activities and interactions are inevitable? Since I am a highly sensitive person and I need to interact with clients every day. Is there any tool or protocol I can use or practice? Thank you.
I would like to request the opportunity to BROADCAST your PODCAST in Ukrainian. I believe it would make a significant impact if it were to be officially shared with a Ukrainian-speaking audience. I want to clarify that I DO NOT require any resources to make this happen. Neuroscience education has been a long-standing area of interest for me. It started as a way to deepen my understanding in yoga practice, and has since evolved into a method for improving well-being by exploring the brain-body-spirit connection. Your podcast is an outstanding source of this knowledge, and I believe it would be incredibly valuable to people from my home country, especially those who may not speak English fluently enough to engage with the content. I am more than happy to take care of the translation. This is purely a personal initiative driven by my passion for sharing this knowledge. I would be beyond delighted to CONTRIBUTE TO EXPANDING its reach.
