I have been on a large dose of gabapentin for around 10 months. I’m having significant side-effects, mainly cognitive and would like to stop taking it. I’m currently trying to taper off the 1800mg daily dose. I’ve begun by reducing 100mg per week. This is causing major anxiety. Do you have any suggestions as to how to get off Gabapentin? Had I been informed of the side effects I doubt I would have taken it. It seems that the SE are little know by some doctors who prescribe.
Where is the dopamine pool stored and how what processes happen chemically / biologically for it get refilled ("you need to wait" is not an answer ;-)? I am struggling to fully understand the “wave pool” analogy, especially as it is a ‘non-infinite yet renewable” resource, as you say in your conversation with Jocko.
