You mentioned Tuo during your recent Journal Club with Peter Attia. Can you elaborate on Tuo's technology, and why you see it as promising? How do you use the Tuo bulbs in your home and workplace? Why do you think Tuo's tech is more promising than the other "circadian" bulbs on the market? Do you plan to interview the Tuo scientist and delve deeply into the tech, protocols, benefits, risks (if any), cost, etc. of their product(s)? Thanks!
I had a long period of extreme stress. That stressor is now gone (over a year now), and my life is great and health is otherwise good. I'm eating and exercising and getting light and doing ALL the things my Dr. recommended to improve stress and help HRV. And I've been doing all the things you recommend for at about a year. Loads of test have been run and nothing is wrong. BUT all of my HRV related metrics are truly abysmal and showing no signs of improving. Also I have. very low heart rate dip when sleeping. I had been keto and IF with a 6 hr or less window for years but also tried stopping and in case that was the culprit (it wasn't). Looking for any advice as to what to do or who to see or what to read for those who already have chronic stress, as most the literature I see is to prevent this problem not deal with it and I'm afraid my attempts to deal with it may be aggravating it. I saw a cardiologist and he scoffs at people taking their own measurements. (Note I wear an Apple Watch Ultra and take HRV readings upon waking, in the same position. It should be fairly reliable.)
Hi Andrew I have listened to your podcast on intermittent fasting. It was great to hear the science behind the process. I am doing 20:4 - I am very strict and have a lifestyle that fits with this. 4 weeks in. I’ve lost 8.1 kilos. Have to have electrolytes and multi vitamins as not eating enough. Weight loss, inflammation, blood sugar and liver is my focus. I have psoriatic arthritis so exercise is painful other than a small walk. I am also a caeliac and have had years of high carb diet. Therefore these results are amazing - inflammation gone, irritable bowel gone, stomach pain gone - can’t believe it. However, I am also injecting 2mg saxenda each day. Given this slows down digestion in the stomach, will this have an affect on fasting phase even though I am getting great results. I am 61. Sorry about diatribe. 😊
I was reading a recent study on GlyNac's benefits for older adults. Is this study strong and is GlyNac something you take? Thanks!
