Preparing for pregnancy protocols

Hello Dr Huberman I’ve been following your podcast for since the start and I’ve learnt so much that I truly believe the podcast you are making is invaluable. Thanks to the protocols, I’ve urged my parents to change their lifestyle as they enter their 60s to maintain both physical and mental health. Now I would like to prepare for the next generation… with my partner we are considering the idea of having babies. I’ve listened to the podcast episodes on fertility, however it didn’t answer some specific questions I have about pregnancy and developmental psychology and neuroscience… I would like to know what are the latest research in the field of nutrition with regards to child development in the womb… as well as protocols for stimulation of babies both before being born and during the first few years. I know this question is quite broad… but I would love some protocols that would help set up the next generation for success, just like the protocols you share now help us (existing generations) Thank you!

Rotating swing shift every 5 days

My swing shift rotates from 8-4, 4-midnight, and midnight-8, changing every 5 days with 1 or 1 1/2 days off before next shift. I'm 59 and can't seem to get a good sleep even with sleep aids. I'd like to work on gaining muscle but I'm not sure when the best time of day would be. On my day off I'm bogged down with chores and shear exhaustion. I follow your sleep protocol but never feel rested. I feel like I'm always in survival mode. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

In the future, will you have a quicker turn around with the podcast transcripts? Thank you.

Autoimmune Diseases

What is the most current accurate science about the root causes of autoimmune diseases, are they curable, and if so, what are the best practices?

Margarine or butter?

In a recent podcast, Robert Lustig commented that margarine was illegal. It is illegal in Wisconsin but that law was enacted to protect the dairy industry in Wisconsin. I thought that "illegal" was a bit of an over-reach because it is not illegal in other U.S. states. I researched margarine vs. butter and discovered that each had both good and bad effects in a human diet. Which do you feel is the healthier choice?
