Hello after listening to episode Leverage Dopamine to Overcome Procrastination & Optimize Effort I am wondering if there is a study to support increasing dopamine baseline by celebrating small wins. Setting small achievable goals and celebrating their achievment vs getting frustrated by over ambitious goals. I love the wave pool analogy in this episode.
I’m currently doing Tim Farris’ slow carb diet for the third time and it is really effective at weight and fat loss. There is no scientific research about how healthy this diet is long term that I am aware of and was curious if there’s any long term negative effects? I’v heard that the blood sugar spike on cheats days are good but I have a hard time believing this. Do you have any insights?
Dear Professor Huberman, dear Huberman Lab support team, My father in law is suffering from Macular Degeneration - he first had the untreatable one and it changed into the treatable one (from dry to wet). Nevertheless the treatment isn't helping and he is slowly but certainly going blind. Even though he is 85, he has been very active all his life, even regularly being top of his age group in fitness evaluations. Going blind has incredibly reduced his autonomous range, and he is losing both fitness and quality of life. As a complication he has colitis ulcerosa (treatment is corticosteroids, fairly high dosage). But mostly my question would be: - any known protocol to slow or reverse macular degeneration? Thank you in advance. Best, Harry
Can you do an episode on the health benefits of Nettle tea and other very beneficial herbal teas such as Yerba mate? I’ve read that drinking too much Yerba Mate tea can increase your chances of throat cancer. Seems to me based on what I’ve read that it’s because generally people are drinking it really hot. I on the other hand drink it cooled down. Do you think I am on the clear? Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
