If we ran through a hypothetical day in the life of an individual, could we identify and track the chemical processes as they play out in a way that could benefit our understanding/control of our bodies and minds? For Example: What chemical process am I experiencing when I run my shower directly on my face? It causes some kind of intense energy, uncomfortable, not painful, invigorating, but generally unpleasant. And what chemical surge do I feel when that same water runs on my back, which feels extremely euphoric? It feels good, relaxing, and inspires sympathetic feelings. I believe I might be very interoceptive. Sometimes it seems like I can physically feel chemicals surge from my spinal column and cerebellum. Is that possible? What chemicals and pathways are being re-enforced when my focus fades, and I “zone-out” with no particular thoughts, pleasures or stresses, but a general feeling of sedate mild euphoria? I separate this from meditation because it lacks awareness and intention and happens without agency. It happens more often perhaps when I am bored, tired or stressed. I often feel guilty if I find myself there, but also strongly drawn to submit to it.
Could you explore the mechanisms of TBI’s potential impact on the menstrual cycle and how this can result in early menopause? Also interested to know what other implications there are of pituitary or hypothalamus injury, and how should these specific impacts of TBI most effectively be treated?
Is it true that structured water has lots of health benifits, and that the body can use it better and easier than tap water or "normal" bottled water? Is there even such a thing as structured water (or is it a hoax) and do the machines or filters that one can buy to create structured water actually work? Thank you so much for answering and for regularly providing so much vulue to the general public!
