I've noticed the time when my sugar craving is at its strongest - if I wake up after a short nap/if I fall asleep at night and wake up shortly after. If I fall asleep and wake up within 10-30 minutes (night or day), those minutes directly after awakening produce a sugar craving unlike any other. It feels like I am a machine with one, singular purpose - sugar. My question is two-fold: A - Do we know why this happens? B - Is there something I can do to affect these particular cravings?
