If you want acquire multiple skills (e.g. languages & instruments) or engage in several cognitively-demanding activities throughout your life that are NOT necessarily related to each other, would it be better to gain proficiency in one skill first, then move on to the next, or studying / practicing both at the same time on a day-to-day basis?
We are having our first baby in a few weeks. Over the past few months, we've been paying close attention to optimal sleep hygiene and have implemented many of the tweaks you suggested. I notice very strongly that good sleep gives me extremely high energy and especially mental well-being during the day. Since the amount and quality of sleep tends to change with a newborn, I wanted to ask you what you recommend to do to get the most out of sleep despite many waking phases and shorter sleep time. For example, should you incorporate naps or nsdr at noon?
