Above I put a link to an academic paper that criticizes the typical negative reinforcement framework used in therapy and proposes a positive reinforcement framework for treating addiction and trauma. For me, this negative vs. positive framework prompts a question that drives this podcast, how do we work with our neurobiology to create the change we want in our lives? When is it most effective to avoid what we don't want and when is it most effective to support what we do want?
I'm a lactation consultant and am always in awe of the new things we learn about breast milk and the function of breastfeeding (oral development). There is evidence that breastfed babies have better vision, but mostly related to the composition of breast milk. My question is: Does the actual filling of the baby's mouth with mother's breast (The craniofacial anatomical factors and the biomechanics of the temporomandibular joints) and the angle baby is looking at the mother have any affect on the eye development or is it merely the composition of the milk? Thanks a lot Shaz
