How to maximize energy on low sleep

We’re going into the Calgary stampede this week which means many of us are working 13 hour shifts, getting into bed at 5:00am and waking up at 10:00am to do it again for 10 days straight. Obviously this these suboptimal sleep conditions, so what can we do to maximize our energy/avoid fatigue for this week and a half period? Thanks!!

Fitness: Appropriate Volume Progression

I thoroughly appreciated the fitness protocol example you gave (episode #94). But how do you progress volume appropriately to meet what fitness pieces are lacking? Is merely 1x per week with lower volume/time, progressing over a month or two enough? Should perform more often and taper back strong areas (like more cardio less xxxxx muscle group)? What’s your recommendation to achieve our personal “best”? Assuming sleep, nutrition, etc. is in check too

Food or water induced tiredness of the brain

Sometimes at work, I get what appears to be tiredness of the brain. If I go for a walk it goes away. It appears (but I am not certain) to come on after ingesting big amounts of water and food. It eventually goes away in the afternoon. Any ideas on what this is and how to prevent it?
