One specific question I had pertained to the supplement "ashwagandha". As you mentioned, ashwagandha lowers cortisol levels when consumed and as a regular user of Athletic greens, I typically take it in the morning as I go for a walk and get my morning sunlight. That said, with the purpose of heightening my cortisol levels with morning sunlight... this brings me to the question, would the ashwagandha in my athletic greens be counteracting the cortisol levels I am aiming to get with sunlight, or, better yet, diminish the effects of the benefits of morning sunlight? Rather, should I instead take my athletic greens after getting morning sunlight, let's say an hour prior for better results? On a separate note, if there is no effect at all, how much Ashwagandha do you recommend per day, and what time of day is best to subside stress and anxiety episodes in relation to already taking AG1 so that it does not affect biomarkers, health, sleep, energy levels, etc.
From your episode on Marijuana, I became curious about THC increasing Prolactin in the body and from recent blood work, I indeed saw increasingly high levels of Prolactin in my body even after no THC use for approximately a month. Assuming other factors could be in place, but looking to discover any natural or supplemental ways to return to optimal levels outside of not consuming THC. Is there the science behind lowering Prolactin levels and at what degree of time are we able to reverse and get back to safer levels.
The standard medical procedure of HRT for women after hysterectomy is estrogen therapy alone without progesterone. What does the science say about adding progesterone anyway, as progesterone seems to have other beneficial properties beside its effects on the uterus, assuming HRT is done with bioidentical estradiol and progesterone. I am 56 and started HRT (estradiol) approx. 3 years ago.
I have been a VA patient for years and they have been monitoring my glaucoma and supplying medications for same. However, since I have had glaucoma for over 40 years it has slowly shrink my visual field, especially, in my right eye. Examinations show that drusen occurrences are increasing evermore and my VA doctors do not have any treatments. I was wondering if you had any suggestions on what may be done to treat this condition.
I work from midnight to noon. Is it better to train before work or after work and before bed time? Training before would shift my active time even more towards the night as I would need to wake up earlier and go to sleep sooner. Training after work would mean that I am most active right before going to sleep, plus I would get the biggest dose of light right then (I workout outside). I already have SAD lamp and I am going to use it before work.
