I was hoping you could address how to make many of the protocols easier or more applicable to those of us with small children. Self-care is one of the last things on my mind. I would love to be able to get up early and meditate, do yoga, go for a walk, etc. but often my 13-month-old is awake before me and if I am able to get up first, she often hears me and wakes-up (she is a very light sleeper). This is just one example. The evenings are filled up with making dinner, eating, cleaning her up after, dishes, playing, and the bedtime routine. Once she is asleep, I scramble to finish any uncompleted tasks before tuckering out. I know this isn't forever, but if we have another one, we will have even less time on our hands for self-care. Appreciate all the great information you provide. I share with many of my patients :)
Are you familiar with the research of Herman Pontzer, which he explains in his book Burn; The misunderstood science of metabolism? Can you elaborate on his findings that exercise does not increase you daily energy expenditure (since it contradicts what most fitness experts state)?
