I am very weary of the supplements industry due to a lack of any meaningful oversight. I have started buying Momentous products based on your endorsement and am wondering what specific due diligence you have done on their products / manufacturing processes
While behavior based interventions like exercise may be the most effective tool to improve longevity and health, your podcast episodes have invested considerable effort into discussing the science behind related supplements and their efficacy. Considering the notion the sometimes our opinion of our own aesthetics can in turn affect our physiology, isn't it worthwhile to examine aesthetic-improving supplementation? This industry arguably has the most obfuscation surrounding the efficacy of its products. Could you shed some light on the mechanism behind some of the big ones, like collagen supplementation for skin health?
Saw your video on alcohol and I do think I recall that stress/adrenaline response did become greater to daily events a year or two after first drinking and having the occasional binge in my teenage years. Is there a way this amplified adrenal response can be reversed? I believe the same happens with sleeping pills making stress greater in the long term with the reduced resistance to stress is less subtle. I would like to know how to for the most part become resistant to stress(I know the occasional amount is necessary sometimes). I imagine taking gaba a and gaba b antagonists would be one way to do so for long term resistance to stress but this would be potentially very dangerous and impossible to source. Any solutions you suggest?
