Dual n-back efficacy?

I have heard some claims that dual n-back (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/N-back) is a useful way to enhance certain cognitive capacities. I would be interested in your thoughts about this exercise and other brain training games or challenges. I have heard that there is limited evidence for some of the online brain training techniques marketed as improving or preserving various cognitive skills, but some claims that there is support for dual n-back.

Kava kava and liver damage, versus alcohol and liver damage

Would you care to do a deep dive on kava? I am aware that kava has been mentioned before in this AMA, but I am particularly interested in the quality and design of studies that indicate the potential for liver damage. I’ve heard on other podcasts these studies were flawed and that the noble variety of kava is safe. It would also be interesting to compare the liver damaging potential of kava to alcohol, since most of us routinely assume the risks of alcohol liver damage. Kava is also touted as a supplement that benefits sleep, contrary to alcohol, so zooming in on kava and sleep could be interesting. Lastly, is taking milk thistle capsules before a night out an effective way to protect the liver against kava and/or alcohol?

My first 3 experiences with weed

The first 3 time si tried weed, it was a sativa (the very 1st time) and probably just straight thc the next 2 times. But for those 3 times, i felt like switching tasks was so easy. Normally, autism makes it difficult to switch between tasks, but when i was high, i felt like having a conversation or switching tasks was so easy. Could you give any explanation as to why this was?

Sensory processing

What is the nueroscience of sensory processing? Do you know what external factors affect sensory processing, or How it affects sensory processing? Do you know how autism or adhd affect sensory processing?

Cold weather vs cold immersion?

Does cold (Michigan) northern weather have similar results to cold immersion therapy? I have a horse farm in Michigan and do chores twice a day, about 15 minutes to an hour each time. As we're getting further into winter I've adapted so I'm comfortable in way less winter clothing than most people are wearing. For example, silk underalls, lined carhartt jeans, carhartt duck vest long sleeve work shirt and denim work shirt over will keep me comfortable into 20's, no jacket or sweatshirt. Although always warm head covering and warm boots, have adequate gloves handy but not wearing all the time. Does being outside in the cold somewhat under-dressed have similar benefits to cold immersion therapy?
