What breaks intermittent fasting for gut health

16/8 intermittent fasting for gut health: Will Athletic Greens in the morning break fast / stop the gut restitution process? I am not fasting to loose weight, only to maximize gut health. I normally fast from 1900 in the evening to 1200 at lunch next day. I would like to start at 0800 in the morning hydrating with Athletic Greens, which I mix with 5g Collagen, K2 drop and creatine.. But I am concerned this stops the gut healing process you spoke of in your episode. Switching between Keto and Mediterranean

As far as I know a ketogenic diet might be a burden for liver but it brings benefits for mitochondria. I'm considering an idea of applying different diets for relativelly short periods. E.g. one month it would be a ketogenic plan, the next month is for the Mediterranean Diet. Is such approach worth consideration? Thank you.

Hi! Prof. Huberman: If one wakes up in the middle of night and uses NSDR with one full episode and does not fall back to sleep, does the person repeat the whole process or simply loop on the attention switch part? Which is more practically effective in your lab experiment? Thank you!

Middle of the night eating

Tools or guidance on how to mitigate and or stop waking in the middle of the night, eating, and then going back to sleep. (Mostly in semi-aware situations and often when waking from nightmares). Is this a type of eating disorder or something else?
