I have started a paleo regimen after failing miserably at Keto, I'm approaching 300 like it's a goal or something, there's plenty of social media on this subject going both ways... "eat plants.. or Plants are trying to kill you" so I watched a Dr. in Australia from here and swears by meat only, being an athlete it seems to be working for him, I'm mid 50's and more concerned with a healthy weight and longevity, satiety has been my favorite part so far, recently I watched a video that used a football field to measure human food chain life cycle, they say it is 99 yards of eating meat etc.. hunter-gatherer style and about a yard or less of eating wheats, soys and all the rest of the fads and processed foods. MY QUESTION TO YOU IS: Has meat been responsible for the evolution of the modern brain which sponsored the industrial age, the space age and rapid acceleration of modern thinking (although, I'm still certain we are in the infancy of our existence here on earth), the are claiming that all these processed foods are causing a shrinking of the human brain. what does science say about the building blocks for the current human brain (you can exclude all the dumb people, I don't think even science could explain them) Thanks, Terry from Roseville Ca.
Is it even possible to avoid Dopamine spikes in a week? We all do things we enjoy after work be it hiking, golfing, gaming, reading, etc. So is it even possible to avoid Dopamine spikes without resorting to 30 day "Dopamine fasts"? I seems like a sad reality if we have to say stare at a blank wall after work to avoid the dreaded spike.
When one restricts calories it is believed the brain sends a signal to the body that it is being starved & it stores fat. But, my experience with Semaglutide is calories are even further restricted but the weight loss occurs. So, there's more to it. What I'm interested in is why doesn't the brain send that same signal with the restricted calories? Is it because the digestion is slower and it tricks the brain so it's really NOT the calories at all? Can this be mimicked without the drug?
