Seawater and human skin

I’ve always thought seawater is good for human beings but I have no evidence of this. Is there any data regarding how seawater affects our body, our skin and our immune system? Can it be detrimental for our skin barrier and the bacteria living there?

The mystery of having the hands of a dead person

Raynaud syndrome causes your hands and feet to feel really cold and turn into white. It’s like when you see a dead person’s limbs in the movies. This happens when you feel cold, but you don’t need to feel too cold, just a little chilly. It seems some doctors ran some experiments to figure out how to improve this condition, such as cold exposure while keeping the hands warm (the Hamlet method) as described here: https://www.raynauds.org/2019/09/26/classical-conditioning-raynauds-therapy/ I’d like to know what can be the science behind this, if there is more evidence in this area and I also wonder whether breath work can improve this body behavior by generating more small vessels in the hands. Also, Wim Hof mentions that this can be improved by training your hand to resist cold temperatures gradually, which seems to be the opposite to the method proposed by Hamlet. Could this be possible?

Best way for Kids/Teens to study

My daughter wants to be a Neurosurgeon. Albeit from watching so much greys anatomy. She is going to be 15 soon and has all AP classes next year as a junior. I want to make sure she can expedite her learning so she can still have a life! I wont put out her fire but I dont want her to not enjoy her high school experience. This would be something that I think most parents want for their kids. To be able to learn at their best ability so they also have time for a social life because I believe both are extremely important for her development.

Multi-cancer early detection testing (MCED)

Hello and thank you for providing exceptional and actionable content that enhances my ability to live my “best life”. The November AARP Magazine contains an article on medical breakthroughs. GRAIL’s Galleri multi-cancer detection (MCED) test is featured. It is said to screen for more than 50 different cancers through a simple blood test and is available through an FDA provision called laboratory developed tests. As a 66 year old female who has had her share of exposure to cancer through family and friends I am very interested in anything that could provide early detection. I realize there is the possibility of false positives.. What is your opinion of the efficacy of the Galleri and MCED tests in general? If and when would you recommend that an individual have a MCED test? Thank you.
