Barefoot Shoes

Is wearing barefoot shoes better than regular shoes? If so, what are the main benefits of walking on barefoot shoes?

Sauna

One benefit of sauna I've noticed, beyond the many you have discussed, is that it reduces the need to urinate at night. I've found that if I stop drinking water around 6pm and sauna around 8pm, I will not have to urinate while sleeping. I recognize this is due to the body being dehydrated, but is there any risk associated with that if one is drinking water all day and first thing in the morning?

Sunlight in a foggy day

Good morning, and thank you for all your service and dedication to Huberman and all the time, the work you're doing to make this information accessible for anyone is incredible! I live in a very foggy place where it's common to be foggy in the morning, and it seems that there is basically no sunlight outside, way worse than on a cloudy day. Should I still go outside to get some sunlight? If yes, how much time should I stay there to be effective? If not, what are the best alternatives for my situation? Thank you for your time, João

Capacity for variation and change

Hello. Thank you for your podcast. I was fascinated by how chronotypes can adjusted but I wondered whether there was natural variation within that period. If everyone was awake from 7am - 11pm would there still be some people that have better cognitive function later in that period? I ask because my father was a very accomplished man and kept "regular" waking hours but always worked in the latter part of the day and it always intrigued me. Are there person to person variation in dopamine release or can you release and/or be more effected by dopamine/cortisol that working latter is more effective to avoid being too forward center of mass and impulsive is a greater impediment than lack of motivation? Thank you for your time. Lots of pseudo science and conflicting information and having an experts insights would be wonderful.
