“A remedy for every illness except death”

Though I have no religious ties to any group or ethnicity, there is the statement “A remedy for every illness except death” made famous by Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) mentioning black seed oil (Nigella sativa) as the treatment. Various sources report its content of antioxidants and bioactive compounds, notably Thymoquinone, which may benefit health and treat a wide range of conditions, including: • Hair and skin health (addressing eczema, acne, vitiligo) • Fungal and bacterial infections • Wound healing • Inflammation reduction • Headaches and back pain • Metabolic syndrome • Blood sugar regulation • Heart health, cholesterol, and high blood pressure management • Cellular health • Kidney and liver function improvement • Gut health • Sperm motility enhancement Despite long historical claims of its therapeutic use, I only found a recent 2021 research suggesting adults should limit intake to 900 milligrams (mg) of the oil or 48.6 mg of Thymoquinone daily to minimize side effects. Given the FDA’s lack of regulation over “supplements,” the efficacy and optimal use of black seed oil remain underexplored. Further discussion and validation of these claims and recommended dosages are needed. I am hoping this is a topic that sparks interest and you are able to utilize your platform to give further clarification on black seed oil (Nigella sativa) and its therapeutic uses. Thank you in advance for any consideration you may have to discuss this topic. Sincerely, Gideon Kain

Night Shift Health Help

I want to first thank you for providing so much information about our health in a very clear manner. I love listening to your podcasts. The following is my concern……My daughter is 28 years old and has been working night shifts as a Physician Assistant at a NICU department for 4 years now. Her schedule is all over the place. She works 3-4 nights in a row (from 6pm-8am) then sleeps the following day and when she is finally an a normal rhythm, she is back on her night shifts. I know how important our circadian rhythm is to our overall health and how negatively the effects of night shift workers is to the body. I listened to one of your guests, Dr. Satchin Panda, which was a very interesting interview. I am curious to know what protocols if any can my daughter do to help reduce the damage to her body as much as possible. Thank you again, Eileen
