Is fasting truly good for you?

Hello, would like to hear your thoughts on the recently published paper https://newsroom.heart.org/news/8-hour-time-restricted-eating-linked-to-a-91-higher-risk-of-cardiovascular-death It seems that fasting in the long run isn't that good after all ?!

Skin care, aging, slow down signs of skin aging

As we become older, we are doing whatever we can to slow down the aging process. There is abundant information on the podcast on how to optimize training, nutrition, supplementing, sleep, which in turn help us 'slow down' the process. I realized there is no information on how to tackle the 'skin aging' problem. Out there, there are lots of advertised products, all citing hyaluronic acid, vitamin c, retinol, karité butter, cocoa butter, sunscreens etc. On paper, all face lotions sound the same, with the same compounds, while price vastly changes. In addition to sunscreen, sleep, hydration, which are counterintuitive strategies, I hope we can have an episode where we hear about the different products out there, what the science says, etc. I feel that research in this matter is very much biased by this or that brand. Oh - also - what is your stance about these expensive red light face masks or blankets ? Thanks!

Should we supplement to support nitric oxide?

I've been hearing that NO is actually harmful to humans and we should not look for beet or amino acid supplement. I'm also reading that methylene blue can counteract the damage done by nitric oxide. I have slightly elevated blood pressure such as 130/90. I was told that NO helps lower blood pressure thus add supplements that increase NO. Now I'm hearing the opposite. Please explain NO and Methylene Blue in this context.

Is fasting truly good for you #2 ?

Hi, i have leukemia and from an anecdotal point it seems that in this population restricting the window for eating (almost all I know who are long term survivors gained a lot of weight) leeds to a cellular senescence in those cell harbouring the mutation making them unresponsive to therapy(nature paper) and this is in line with the biology of nk cells that are highly sensitive lo lower glucose levels( possible hyperglycemia as a therapeutic approach- cml and aml cells rely more on lipids as a source od energy combining with and antidiabetic that targets other cellular pathwayd like the wnt or ppar-g). For me this paper is just one in line that paints the broader picture of making accessible nutrients to your immunity throughout the day to make them more robust in surveillance and keeping the disease in remission. (Ps. Also an md from croatia , love your podcast)

Dopamine class for kids

If you were advising a school district that was struggling with student mood, attention and performance, what kinds of daily routines would you recommend for students and teachers?
