Mental Rest

Wanted to quickly say thanks for all you've been doing, first and foremost. Your podcasts have helped my health tremendously, and I'm sure it's helping thousands and thousands of other people to. I've followed your podcasts from day one, I do not however recall an episode or thorough discussion (unless I missed it) on mental rest. In other words, I'd love to hear a bit more your thoughts on how we can give our minds a rest. I already follow the sleep protocols pretty closely, including daily exposure to morning light and avoiding bright lights, I also am aware of tools such as NSDR; are there any other behavioral/supplemental/etc tools & protocols for giving your mind a "rest & reset"? This is coming from someone who works a lot, and perhaps is a little burned out? Thanks in advance, Dr. Huberman!

Alpha-GPC

Can you shed some light on the timing of garlic intake to offset the TMAO effects of Alhpa-GPC? The reason I’m asking is because a take off of GPC fasted in the morning, i.e. 5:30am and I don’t want to break my fast until a 8 o’clock and I’m not too sure whether taking a garlic right after that will break my fast or shit or can I wait until I have my first meal of the day.

Do sunlight lamps work the same as morning sunlight for our brains?

Do sunlight lamps work the same as morning sunlight for our brains? Or the only option for us it to actually go outside everyday? :)

Acne - cause and management

Many people struggle with recurrent or constant skin issues including acne/psoriasis/etc. I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts on causes and management given skin issues are often linked with fluctuating hormone levels, stress, food sensitivities, etc. which you cover in detail on the podcast.

Benefits of self imposed stress

Is it true that self imposed stress raises adrenaline but not cortisol? Can you talk more about the neurological and hormonal differences between stress and self-imposed stress?
