Are there any ways to influence which parts of the body undergo autophagy when fasting? Or do we just have to let the body tear down and repair the areas it "sees" as priority? For example, if I had an old injury that I wanted more healing and remodeling in, would applying a warm compress (to simulate inflammation), infra-red treatment, ultra-sound application, or ___?___ to that old injury during a 24-72 hour water fast step up autophagy in that area for faster repair? Are you aware of any other methods to direct the body's attention to a certain area when in autophagy during a fast? Thank you!
