Optimum way to get early morning photons to eye outside

I know I should not look at the sun if it hurts my eyes. Can I read outside (looking down) or must I look up at the sky to get most rapid dose of photons? If I use a lightbox, should it come from above or must I look directly at it?

How do we protect ourselves from environmental toxins?

Are there any protocols you would suggest to help decrease our chances of having adverse effects from environmental toxins we consume/adsorb into our bodies? Specifically; microplastics, pesticides, phthalates, BPA, PCBs, PFASs. Avoidance of these toxins would be great but almost impossible to do.
