Glucose Goddess blood sugar advice

The glucose goddess recommends, among other things, veggie starters , and vinegar before a high carb meal to prevent unhealthy blood sugar spikes. Should most people be doing this? Are there any drawbacks to doing this? Is it similar to using berberine?

Please Interview Dr Dale Bredesen

I see there have been other requests for Dr Dale Bredesen as a guest but I feel his input would be very relevant to the recent episode with Dr D’Esposito. He is a former professor at UCLA, UCSF, UCSD and worked at the Buck institute where his research focused on the foundations of what would become the “Recode” protocol which is a comprehensive program that attempts to address the numerous contributing factors to Alzheimer’s disease. Thank you for your amazing work with the podcast!

COMT Estrogen and Dopamine

Just an interesting tidbit to add to what Dr D’Esposito said about COMT metabolizing dopamine and the relationship between dopamine and estrogen in the brain. COMT also metabolizes estrogens and I wonder if this relates to the increased levels of dopamine when estrogen levels are increased by occupying the enzyme. Maybe just a random though, thanks for reading!

Sleep disturbance

Within the first hour of laying down for sleep a throbbing sensation wakes me. I get upright and the throbbing subsides.

(I don’t remember if I’ve asked this question I have wanted to ask.) Does it help to curse while exhaling when making a physical attack?

When executing a sudden attack, is it really good to exhale as taught in martial arts in general? How are those benefits of exhaling at such a time affected by the variability of what is expressed with the exhalation, whether the expression is just breath, is actual audible sound, or has verbal features like meaning with a different range of intelligence (say between coarse profanity to a witty remark the brain spontaneously conjured up at the moment, to any habitual verbal expressions, or anything else you can think of? Or at least how performance of the attack is affected by two factors — whether the exhalation is accompanied by (1) cursing or is accompanied instead with a guttural sound that has no verbal meaning or any significant articulation. I want to know the many possible factors, but I believe those two factors (cursing and guttural sounds) might be the most relevant.
