Given that positive thinking under stress leads to a positive effect on our body, is it possible that positive thinking in social isolation can lead to a positive effect on our body? I’m a grad student and I need to be alone to do the research most of the time. I enjoy the time staying alone. However, I’m worried that many negative social isolation effects shown in some studies would affect me. Is there any study on the positivity of social isolation?
English is my second language and I'm still learning everyday and I'm really enjoying it. However, I'm sometimes confused with which learning method would be the most effective. The common answer I have heard is that whatever makes you feel enjoyable is the best method to learn a new language. I think it's quite true, but I wonder if there is any science-based method or technique for learning new languages. Your videos about language in general already helped me a lot, but this time I want to ask you about the practical methods and toolkits. Thank you so much for all your effort to make science easy to undetstand.
Would love to hear of any science based tools, correlative statistics or any other science regarding predictors of long term marital success, parenting and other associated areas. Are there any science based tools you are aware of that are beneficial to sustaining a long-term, healthy romantic relationship? Are there any science based tools you are aware of that seem beneficial in raising healthy, robust children? Thanks and happy new year!
Dear Sir / Dear All, I have all my life played my own fears movie over and over in order to have a mental way out / a solution. Many, many years I have in my mind and in real life solved all the issues even better than the scenarios played along in my brain. Recently I can not any more imagine the way out / the solution of my non-important or bigger fears. We have a saying locally that indicates that if a fear is crossed by the mind is automatically over. Thanks a lot, Andreea
