Your podcast on alcohol was excellent, and made me want a deeper dive into the topic. I have really limited my intake after listening, as I am a lifelong journey of brain health, quality of life, for as long as I can live. Everything is in alignment with this - I'll hold the details. So, in our culture, there is a real aversion to saying anything bad about alcohol. It's funny, a lot of functional medical doctors steer clear of that topic. I get it, but I'm curious, if someone does it all right, EXCEPT they still drink a good bit, even if it's primarily red wine, are they negating everything else they've done right? This question and many of the others noted here would be great content for another podcast on this topic. Please consider it.
What are the most effective strategies for managing type 1 diabetes through supplementation, and what role can specific vitamins, minerals, and other supplements play in supporting blood sugar control, insulin sensitivity, and overall health for individuals with this condition?
You’ve explained the benefits of viewing sunlight, but what are the risks if you simply can’t? I work as an anesthesiologist and I start my day before sunrise and sit in a windowless OR all day. Should I be worried about specific negative health consequences? What do you recommend?
I was wondering if you have any thoughts and solutions for those who have Relaxation-Induced Anxiety. For as long I can remember, when I try to relax, (whether through short naps or doing a body scan meditation), within a short time I would feel something like a rush of adrenaline. I've learned to anticipate that feeling and just 'ride it out.' However, it does seem counterproductive to notice feeling stressed, trying to relax, and then having a physiologic sensation of increased stress. Thanks!
I listened to you podcast re: negative effects of drinking alcohol, specifically how neuronal pathways are affected over time. If one stops drinking alcohol, can the negative changes (neuronal) be reversed, ie depression improved, anxiety improved, or are they nonreversible. Thanks much
