I love “getting away” to the south during the winter months in Canada when it is dark and cold. However, when I come back, especially in January, I get a vacation hangover. Incredible drowsiness, despite getting 8+ hours of sleep, low motivation and drive to get up in the morning when just a few days previously in the sunshine I would pop out of bed, run 5k, make breakfast, and tackle the day with tons of energy.
Own multiple EV’s which I love so not a hater by any means. I spend a great deal of time(30K miles/year) driving in them. In your opinion(doubt that there is data) could you see any negative effects? Would you possibly be up for doing an episode with what you would be able to find/experts in those fields?
Would we still retain *some* of the benefits of resistance training (bone density increase, increased mood, etc) if we cold plunge soon after? I’m not trying to increase muscle size, just stay lean and healthy as I age. Could I have the best of both worlds by cold plunging after lifting weights?
I got the unenviable news that I have a recurrence of breast cancer. My first round was when I was 38 and I underwent a bilateral mastectomy followed by endocrine therapy. 11 years later I have it again. I live a very clean and healthy lifestyle, including low sugar, no alcohol, exercise, manage stress, get adequate sleep, healthy connections- basically all of the things you call health pillars plus a spiritual component. I’ll keep so doing all of those things and I’m wondering if there are other things I can be doing to boost my immune system? I think mindset is critical. Anything else? Thank you. 💗
